Psychology services are provided by both Psychologists and Clinical Psychologists.

Clinical Psychologists are Psychologists who have completed additional university study, training and supervised clinical practice. Clinical Psychologists are considered experts in understanding, diagnosing and treating mental and emotional health issues which commonly face many people including;
The two most common means of accessing treatment by a Psychologists or Clinical Psychologist are via self referral or a GP referral.
If you wish to see a Clinical Psychologist you can contact us directly and arrange an appointment. The cost associated with a booking made direct with us is not eligible for a Medicare rebate. If you hold private health insurance, it is possible that a portion of the cost of the consult will be covered by this however you should check with your insurer to establish this.
A Mental Health Care Plan is a support plan for people who would like to access mental health services with a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist. People accessing these services via a Mental Health Care Plan must first consult with their GP and discuss their needs. The doctor will work with you to develop a plan that suits your own individual circumstances. The plan may include;
A Mental Health Care Plan that has been approved by your GP enables you to have up to 10 consultation sessions with a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist. Each session is eligible for a Medicare rebate of up to $141.85 for a Clinical Psychologist and $96.65 for a Psychologist.
All clinical consult appointments are based on a 50 minute face to face session with a Clinical Psychologist. 10 minutes is set aside to allow the completion of patient notes and other matters such as correspondence with your GP that may need to be attended to at the time of or immediately after the appointment.
